Transpose schema

Transpose is a database of journal policies on peer review, co-reviewing, and preprinting. The terms below can are explained in our glossary.

The database currently covers almost 3,000 journals, with contributions coming from journal representatives (these records are labeled “verified”) as well as other interested individuals. Records can be updated over time, and all versions are available for download. All original contributions are released under CC0.

We’re interested in finding places from which these data can be distributed and edited.

We may be in a position to address this soon. It would help to know how people are contributing to the database, and ways you know people are using it (queries, bulk downloads and remixing / querying elsewhere, permalinking to subsets of it?).

Awesome! People contribute by either filling in this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf2VsvytNSGrYLwKmsdN3SYAIYSHo71A1-RppjlyIuLcIKepw/viewform or by emailing us a spreadsheet for multiple journals.

As you can see from the date stamps here (in reverse chronological order) it’s not particularly rapid. https://transpose-publishing.github.io/#/

The reuse of the database we know about is by Clarivate’s Master Journal List: https://asapbio.org/transpose-data-reused-by-clarivate

Hope this is helpful!
